2014 Week 2

Week 2

Dear Joe Nathan.
I hate you.
You suck.
I've never liked you. You were annoying as a Twin, you were just as annoying as a Ranger, and you are completely unbearable as a Tiger.

What makes things worse is his asshole attitude.

Whatever.

Speaking of annoying assholes...
Did you have a player get hurt this week? Probably a yes.

In a ridiculous week of injuries, Jamaal Charles, Desean Jackson, RG3, Knowshon Moreno, AJ Green, Ryan Mathews, and.... I don't even remember off the top of my head.... all went down with injuries.

Might as well add Adrian Beat-her-son on that list since he was deactivated for last week, but then was looking to be reinstated BUT THEN allegations of his beating his other 4 year old son from 2013 came to light so now.... wtf?

Count your blessings people... there may be no players left by week 8 to even have an NFL at this rate. Child beaters, wife beaters, murderers, drug abusers, and own-leg shooters make up this league commissioned over by a liar.

ANYWAYS...

Quick hitters:

Atlanta Lions was cruising over I miss JC So much after the midday games on sunday.
That left one player on each team left to play on sunday night.
Everything looked great for Steven as Chicago couldn't do anything in the first half... at least until Chicago's last possession where Brandon Marshall came down with a disgusting Calvin-esque one handed catch for a touchdown.
Still, no worries.
I admit, that game was awful to watch. It was a penalty per play for most of the first half with the majority of them being declined or off-setting. I had my matchup won and didn't really care what my hobbled Alshon would do. I checked back later and CHICAGO WAS IN THE LEAD???
Brandon Marshall came down with 2 more TDs to bring the score to a virtual tie.

I immediately realized that SF was on their last possession and Brandon Marshall wouldn't get any more chances unless SF converted the possession. Nope.
Ding Dong Dead.

111.7 to 111.1

Steven has a nice looking team even with Matthew assclown Stafford being completely stupid, albeit against a great defense. He's got some pretty looking running backs. mmm....

Congrats to Paul Min, you lead the league in points scored with nothing to show for it but a 1-1 record.

Speaking of points....
congrats to Not Creative, Lion Kings, Joon's Football Squad for breaking 50 points...
...
but not 80 points.
I may be insulting Joon and Danny by including them in with Kevin's 51.1 point output.
As I mentioned before, if you are the reason Tom Terrific is bleh, then eff you.

I doubt it though. Bill Belichek is a weirdo genius. He went with the gameplan he knew would work. It did. That gameplay included giving Steven Ridley an uncharacteristic amount of carries. Given how bad Ridley was last year due to being in the doghouse, it was surprising. Brady just managed the game and converted 3rd down situations and the Pat's called on the running backs.
So.... Danny Amendola didn't get much work..... as in... no work.... as in 0 points.
In beautiful asymmetry, the Packers only threw and Lacy got nothing and Forte was curiously bad against San Fran.

Not even going to touch Marqise Lee.

Lion Kings was just a mess... Tony Romo is the kryptonite to any other player on the same team. At least he made all these trades to change things up... congrats on ruining those new acquisitions' careers with your Tony Romo curse.

Joon heard my warnings about the Cinci D and curiously picked up Jake Locker(?) but decided to play Ryan anyways. Didn't really matter cause they both sucked. His other studs acted like studs. LeSean and DeMarco looked great but AJ Green's 0 points hurt (and frankly, cost him his matchup).

It seems weird to not only see Steven on top of the leaderboard given another autodraft, but !!!!!!!
Mr. Walter "F U" Rhee is sitting atop the mountain!

The man feared Jay Cutler @ SF so much he started RYAN TANNEHILL and STILL WON.
Bad move, cause Cutler was awesome and Tannehill wasn't... and wtf... take the time to look at how he won and you'll notice that beside Tannehill, NO ONE ELSE SCORED IN DOUBLE DIGITS. Patriots D pulled out 27 points and Cody Parkey dropped 11 points.

Remember that list of key injuries this week? Perpetually Injured has a team that is... perpetually injured. Doug Martin... out, 0 points.
Ryan Mathews.... sprained MCL, 5.7 points.
DeSean Jackson... followed his QB out of the game, 1.9 points.

Aaron Rodgers' 28.6 points couldn't save him but look at that... broke 80 points.... by 0.6 points...

Henry Kook is taking my comparison of his team to the Michigan Football program to heart by doing his best to give the title of "winningest program" to someone else.
It's not really his fault though. 92.5 points isn't too shabby, and given the low scoring of this league the first two weeks... it should have been enough to win.
Drew Brees is clearly starting extremely slow this year and Henry desperately needs some running backs and Jordan Reed to come back.
Regardless of his situation, when SCOOP YOU loses Knowshon Moreno to injury after logging 0.4 points and starts CJ2YPC but gets FORTY-FIVE POINT FOUR points from his two Packer receivers... you're gonna question life. Jordy Nelson pulled down 9 catches for the second time for 209 yards and a score!
Those two plus Cam were the only double digit offensive players. 27 from D+Kicker... as I've said many times before... is a killer X-factor.

Mr. Christopher "TWO TIME DEFENDING BASEBALL CHAMP" Han went from a team of excrement... to delicious excrement ice cream... to... awkwardly... gross-erotic... Excrement Excitement.
Although there is a good chance that his actual excrement could have done as much on the football field as his wide receivers (including flex), yet the rest of the team did great! Delanie Walker was the surprise of the week with 20.2 points but was actually a 7.4 point kang with Antonio Gates sitting on the bench. It's going to be a tricky play from here on out. Although I would confidently predict that Delanie Walker's performance was the high of this season already.
Excitement indeed, as this team only lost in week one due to Julius Thomas (second season in a row I've said that).

Speaking of Julius Thomas, Jeffrey "Jabroni" Kim starts the season off with two consecutive wins! Way to rebound. Very FSU-esque. A return to glory perhaps?
Jamaal died... which is sad... but Danny Shin decided to capitalize on the uncertainty of Jamaal's situation and gambled on him being back and ready for week 3. Nope.
Regardless... Peyton+Julius did most of the heavy lifting per usual. However, Terrance West was a nice little surprise with 15 points as Ben Tate sat.
Unfortunately the Broncos face the feared Seahawks next week. (GOOD NEWS FOR ME!)

Saved the best for last. Hanwook "Baseball Bridesmaid" Kwag broke 100!!!!
"Why is he trading for Zac Stacy?"
"Why does he like Nick Foles so much?"
"Why is he loving rookie Sammy Watkins so much?"
WELL GUESS WHAT BITCHES!?
...
we still don't know.........
...

Zac Stacy surprisingly dropped like 8 points in the first possession of the game! In my excitement I texted Danny Shin to gloat. I then fell asleep and saw that he accrued 11.1 points. Oh, I need to hit refresh, duh. *click* 11.1.
Oh.

However Sammy Watkins is a G, but his first week was pedestrian so I can't gloat about that yet.
Nick Foles and the Philly Eagles are so annoyingly undisciplined. For the second straight week they came out of the gate asleep. Chip Kelly needs to find a way for the Eagles to play the ENTIRE game like they played the second halves of both games.

Whatever. I still project myself outside top four. My draft sucked.

That reminds me...
REGGIE BUSH IS A HALL OF FAMER, YOU SHOULD TRADE ME PLAYERS FOR HIM

Matchup of the Week:
last week: WTF 127-93 JFS
actual: WTF 84.7-76.1 JFS

Early season undefeated matchup between DeMarco's Pizzeria and Atlanta Lions.
My "no NFL experience" brain tells me that the failure to commit to the running game is screwing the Lions and what better time to change that than against the Green Bay Packers.
Right?
Doubt it. Cause we're the Lions. Stafford will probably start the game off throwing the rock all day. We'll probably find ourselves down in the game and we'll throw some more.
I expect big days from Arian, Edelman, and even Sanders.
Sure, Welker will be back, it'll probably push Sanders to the 4th option role, which in turn might end up helping the guy. I expect Le'Veon to be shut down by Carolina's amazing run D and the rest are kind of up in the air.

For Walter, I don't see Rashad running well against Houston. Montee hasn't done anything to be worthy of all the pre-season hype and I doubt he changes our minds in Seattle. Eli sucks so Cruz sucks by association and if Adrian Peterson doesn't play, all defenses from here on out will focus their attentions to Cordarrelle.
I don't see much hope for Walter's team this week.

Atlanta Lions 107.3
DeMarco's Pizzeria 95

Week 1 2014

Week 1

Did you win last week?
Congrats on being a selfish douchebag who decided not to join in on the misery that is sports.
Especially in Michigan.

Michigan State predictably lost against one of the favorite teams to make the inaugural College Football Playoffs, but did it trying to match point for point instead of playing Spartan Football. It was a blowout after the first half.

Tigers suck.
But hey! Monday happened and Justin Verlander didn't suck hardcore like his leaked videos of him and random floozies. He just sucked.... softcore like Kate Upton pics and only gave up four runs this time and we took the first game of a very important series against the Kansas City Royals.

Speaking of suck and the Royals...
Michigan Football royally suck.
Michigan has never been shut out since 1984.
I think only two members of this league are old enough to have been alive in 1984.
365 game streak of no shut outs came to a screeching halt as Hoke continues to be a fat #@%^ figurehead who doesn't wear a damn headset on the sideline. Deveon Smith has outshined fat and still fat Derrick Green since they both got on campus and we keep ramming him up the middle with no success. Bunch of idiots.
I will only continue to watch to witness Jabrill Peppers' amazing talent.
THREE HUNDRED SIXTY FIVE GAME STREAK ENDS.
What an ironic number, cause this is going to be a year of SUCK if both college football teams don't do anything and if the Tigers don't make the playoffs.

Luckily that week is over. Monday happened and the Lions looked great. Sure, it was against the crappiest Giants team New York has even had but man Stafford looks great.
Shed a bunch of pounds and tiptoeing around pass rushers.
Go Lions!

... I hate sports.

ANYWAYS
What a week of... wtf.

Top QB Week 1 - Matt Ryan. 448 yds 3TD 31.4 fantasy points ($14 in draft)
Notable - Drew Brees 333 yds 1TD 1 int 15.5 fantasy points ($42)
Notable - Aaron Rodgers 189 yds 1TD 1 int [b]9.6[/] fantasy points ($50)

Top RB Week 1 - Le'Veon Bell 109 RuYds 1RuTD 88 RecYds 25.7 fantasy points ($47)
Notable - Doug Martin 9 RuYds 7 RecYds 1.6 fantasy points ($48)
Notable - Jamaal Charles 19 RuYds 15 RecYds 3.1 fantasy points ($79)

Top WR Week 1 - Calvin 164 yds 2TD 28.4 fantasy points ($68)
Notable - Allen Hurns 110 yds 2TD 23 fantasy points (undrafted)
Notable - Dez Bryant 55 yds 5.5 fantasy points ($55)
Notable - Demaryius Thomas 48 yds 4.8 fantasy points ($57)

Top TE Week 1 - Julius Thomas 104 yds 3TD 28.4 fantasy points ($37)
Notable - Vernon Davis 44 yds 2TD 16.4 fantasy points ($17)

So other than the Tight End position everything was nonsense.

Years of fantasy football tells me that this is an anomaly.
This won't happen consistently and stars will be stars.
But, if you want to freak out and fire sale your team, more power to you.

=======================================================================================

Quick Hits
(In order of PF)

I miss JC So much

How the hell did Chris Ivory get 16.2 points? One long run for a TD and a short reception for a score.
I wanna take the gamble and say he only matches this output once more this season.
Double TE flex worked out this week and Carlos Hyde looks like he'll take over Gore's main role as he looked fantastic vs the Cowboys.
Ride and Die with Dalton and shit RBs?
Merp.

Joon's Football Squad

Way to smash the commish's face in.
Matty Ice looks like he's in for one HELL of a rebound year assuming that his receivers are healthy.
LeSean was straight up neglected due to Nick Foles' turnovers early in the game.
Tavon Austin is a pretty weak flex and Andrew Hawkins surprised me given that without Josh Gordon, I thought teams would shut him down easy. Jury's still out on him.
Team looks strong, but still only has one dependable back as Murray is a ticking time bomb.
Regardless, Strong.

WTF

Holy Crap Julius.
Way to cover for the donut that Boykin put up. But... Boykin?
Still, 122.1 points from 9 slots is insane. Ingram got a couple TDs to make up for Jamaal Charles... that sentence should be reversed for the rest of the season.
I mentioned something about Jeff's core strength. Jeff has a massively ripped 3-pack core. Everyone else, meh. But if you turn to the side, chicks can only see 3 even if you have 6 so who cares.

Excrement Ice Cream

CURSE JULIUS THOMAS!
Without that asshole, this team wins.
Andrew Luck acquisition was great and it paid off with 26.7 points!
Adrian Peterson.... might be the biggest loser with Norv Turner heading the Minnesota offense.
Looks like he views AD as a sledge hammer and Cordarelle as a Ferrari.
Even so, AD is one of those backs that rocket through a HB Dive play and scores a 90 yard touchdown. He should be fine regardless of scheme.
Larry Fitz sucked and I hope you learned your lesson that the Dallas Offense is nothing to fear.
C'mon Chris, that's like not starting Cueto vs the Texas Rangers. In your mind you think, omg... Romo, Dez Bryant, DeMarco Murray. In reality... 2014 Texas Rangers.
My HATE FOR ROMO IS BASED ON HIS REAL LIFE SUCK.

DeMarco's Pizzeria

... This Pizzeria doesn't even have.... what... he's advertising...
Anyways... WALTER WON!
Tate got hurt but Norv Turner used Cordarelle like a RB so they can swap numbers.
One correction from the post-draft LM Note I forgot to make is that I forgot David Wilson quit (like a b) football to train for the olympics. Hence the 15.6 points from Rashad being very useful. I don't think even Eli Manning trusts Eli Manning in the red zone. Big Booty Rashad can get some TEE DEES.
Ray Rice gotta be dropped so that kinda hurts but look at the players he kanged!
Lamar Miller 11.8 and DeAndre Hopkins 14.9!
Wowza!

SCOOP YOU

Hahahaha Danny finally has a decent week and he runs into paul with the top score.
Carson Palmer with 21.1!? Wow.
Ridley sucks, that's gonna have to be addressed but another massive point total from the bench.
Kanged a 19.4 point performance by Knowshon! I don't know how to take the Sproles total but those Miami backs had a great day.
This team looks deep.

Atlanta Lions

Speaking of bench. Yikes...
but then who cares when you win?
In the battle of autodrafts, he left Le'Veon on the bench with his 25.7 points but the Texan D went nuts.
Now they did lose Clowney :( and played against Washington for that 20 points but there's no way these backs suck all year. However, I'd have to note that, he did have a chance at trading away... a combination of his players who collectively scored 16.4 points for players who combined for 54.1 points before the weekend that with proper lineup adjustment would have allowed him to score 145.8 points (assuming Le'Veon takes over for the RB).
I'm pretty sure that deal is now completely off the table.
Still, given the imbalance of the league, I'm sure he'll find a deal to balance out his team. Not every team is going to start a 9.6 point QB over a 30 pointer... given that all other teams only have like... 2 QBs at most.

Not Creative

Okay, I believe in real life NFL players being allergic to fantasy teams. I swear to God if you ruin Tom Brady I will murder you.
...
Anyways, Lacy sucked, then got concussed. Luckily they only play Seattle once. So, good news! 4.5 is Lacy's floor.
I have nothing to say about the rest of the team or the bench cause... what is there to point out?
Blegh.

Discount Double Check #ponyup

Wow, what an annoying name to type out.
Nothing special needed to be mentioned here.
There's a lot of teams that need help out QB.
Especially.... Atlanta Lions (Rivers), Miami Marlins (Romo), and I miss JC So much (Dalton).
I say, you pick which one you wanna trade (Rodgers v Stafford) then announce it and let them fight over it.
In the end this is a individual game. All three aren't gonna hold out on you and let your team suck and die while they're sucking and dying themselves. Unfortunately 2 of those teams won due to bad opponents (ahem, includes you).
Whatever, that's what happens with autodraft.
Work in progress.

12 Dollar ROY

Worst.
Draft.
Ever.
Foles is still the truth though.
RBs suck.
Welker come backkkkkkkkk :(

Oh and John Brown is the truth too.

Miami Marlins

Oh how the turntables...........
Returning champ....
Why did you start Dwyer....?
Romo.
Romo.
Romo.
Romo.
Romo.

P.S. Even in Madden 15, I use Joique over Reggie Bush.
Reggie Bush sucks...
like your week 1 team score.

Her with Joaquin Pheonix

More like... Gigli with Ben Affleck.
Didn't understand the choice in defense, but regardless of that, there was not much production from this team. I doubt that'll continue with Brees, and Bryant on this team. Counterpoint. His bench only had 9.9 points, so... can this team really get that much better?

HOPEFULLY.
Unless you, the winningest manager in Gridiron Brothel, is like the winningest program in College Football and decides to suck for a while.

=======================================================================================

Matchup of the Week:

WTF (1-0) v Joon's Football Squad (1-0)

Both had great individual performances last week.
Joon has Matty Ice and AJ Green @Cinci. Cinci who has a very good defense. LeSean should rebound and everything else may remain the same.
I think this matchup comes down to balance vs stars.
The KC defense gave up 20 points to Jake Locker.

Makes me want to say there's gonna be 50 points from Manning and Julius.
I say the freak touchdowns by the rest of Jeff's team (not from Jamaal v Den) allow Jeff to beat JFS.

127-93 WTF

(0-0 rec) first pick

APOW - I miss JC So much (1)
Turd - Her with Joaquin Phoenix (1)

Welcome Week 1 2014

WELCOME

Welcome to year 4.

Congrats on your successful draft.
Unless your draft was controlled by Stevenbot.
Stevenbot took my stance on the importance of Running Backs and grabbed 7 RBs with his first 8 picks spending a total of 184 dollars of the alloted 215.
Philip Rivers for one dollar could be an epic value pick given that the Quarterback position wasn't that hot this year.

Speaking of Quarterbacks... I renege my statement about all good drafting minus stevenbot.
Einsteinotron grabbed 4 QBs.
Spent a total of 76 dollars on them.
Imagine if he spent the 50 on Aaron Rodgers on 2 quality WRs instead? ORRRR.... DeMarco Murray (48), Le'Veon Bell (47), Zac Stacy (45), Arian Foster (45), Alfred Morris (35).
As great as Aaron Rodgers is, Stafford is better than his 15 dollar price tag. RG3 has the potential to be better than his 8 dollar price tag. Russell Wilson went for 3 dollars.
...
HOW ABOUT NEXT TIME WHEN I EMAIL OUT, WHAT DAYS ARE BEST YOU RESPOND AND THEN WHEN I SAY IT'S A CERTAIN DAY THROUGH THE AUTOMATIC EMAIL NOTIFICATION AND A FOLLOW-UP REMINDER EMAIL, JUMP ON IT?
sigh...

Anyways, good draft.

I didn't miss this part.

============================================================

Joon's Football Squad
Career record: 24-18 (.571)
Best finish: First in Legends (2013- 3rd in final standing)

Matt Ryan once went for 127 dollars.
Then that was rescinded, and he showed that without Roddy and Julio, he was worth less than one dollar.
This year he has them back, but for how long? Regardless, 14 dollars is a nice price to pay for your QB.

Joon looks to have leaned toward the Paul Min strategy. Spend. ASAP.
LeSean McCoy for 77 dollars was the 2nd highest bid behind Jamaal Charles for 79 dollars.
I had him last year. I think he's perfect for Chip Kelly. The question on the Eagles from here on will be... has the league had enough time to adjust to Chip's offense. It's hard to believe the elite talent of LeSean McCoy would allow him to regress too much. At the same time, the running back position isn't always consistent. I can confidently say he'll be top ten if healthy, but anything better is uncomfortable for me to say.

Joon's core consists of McCoy, AJ Green, and Montee Ball.
Throwing 55 at Montee Ball was surprising but understandable. Even with Peyton calling the plays, he's always called his back's number and if those moments occur at the red zone... profit.
Given the core of this team... the rest of his team consists of 3 dollar and 1 dollar players.
This is a high risk team.

I can't help but to say, "middle-of-the-pack"

My Value pick - Tavon Austin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Calvin's Johnson
Career record: 8-6 (2013 enrollee)
Best finish: Third in Legends (2013- 7th in final standing)

"i don't like my team"
Yeah I don't like you.
Kevin spent 171 on his first three picks. All running backs.
Now, 67 on Forte makes sense to me. The man was a double digit machine.
Paying even more for Eddie Lacy... not so much.
Ignore the fact that I never believe in anyone after year one (see: Muscle Hamster), and ignore the fact that he only had three 20 point games. Packers are at their best with a healthy Aaron Rodgers slinging the ball around. I'm not saying he will have a bad year. I peg him in the top ten category but 69 dollars is a steep price to pay AFTER spending 67 dollars moments earlier. This was another manager who adopted the Paul Min strategy as the remainder of his money were spent on deep sleepers (Kelvin Benjamin, Eric Ebron, Jonathan Stewart) yet managed to steal away Tom Brady for 12 and Jason Witten for 5.

I don't believe in Alfred Morris. 35 is too much for a guy who never broke the twenty point mark. He's an RB2 IMO and 35 is okay for one of those RB1/RB2 borderline guys but I stick Alfredo right dab in the middle of the RB2 category.
Having said all that, this team consists of 3 plus backs, and we all know what I feel about that.

I wanna say... Find servicable WRs and you'll contend.

My Value pick - Tom Brady

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rebuilding Year
Career record: 25-17 (.595)
Best finish: Champion (2011)

Once again, another cult member of the Paul Min Church of spending.
79 dollars was the largest bid and it was spent on Jamaal Charles. Everyone knows my love for him.
Injury scares are always a hurdle the owner needs to jump over. However, the guy scored FIFTY-ONE POINT FIVE points in week 15 of last year!
He is so damn fast, and so damn clever in the open field... it's gross.
79 is a huge number to pay but... nice...

Add in Orange Julius Thomas for 37 dollars and Forehead Android for a whopping 64 bucks and you have a nice core. Hell, add in Maclin for 14 where he returns to the team as the new #1 after the DeSean departure and you have an even nicer core.
Problem with nice cores is that a core is a small percentage of a football team.
Stop me when I list someone you can be confident will get you 10 points any given week.
Jarrett Boykin, Terrance West, Mark Ingram, James Jones (PLAYS FOR OAKLAND NOW), Donald Brown, Matt Bryant STOP
k.
Cool.

Now, any of those guys before the kicker could get 10. But here's jeff's 2011 championship team's core:
Aaron Rodgers, Frank Gore (remember it's 2011), Dwayne Bowe, Jermichael Finley (again, 2011), Torrey Smith, Steve Smith.
That core has SIX PLAYERS out of 10 SLOTS.

Everyone knows I love to troll the troll, but in all honesty, I want to say... another rebuilding year.
Will not be a bottom feeder as a week where Jamaal and Peyton goes nuts, he'll have a good chance to win... but who's the RB2? Where's the flex? Too many questions here.

My Value Pick - Jeremy Maclin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Excrement Ice Cream
Career record: 17-25 (.405)
Best finish: Second in Legends (2011- 5th in final standing)

This man had an extravagant wedding.
Then went to the Maldives and spent who knows how much to consummate his marriage in style ;) haha.
So no surprise that this same man dropped 76 dollars on Mr. Peterson and 65 on Skittles.
Surprising part in his Paul Min-esque spending is that he reeled it in afterwards.
You have the best 1-2 punch at the RB position, now what?

He went after value and investments. He outbid me for DeSean Jackson (now happy and playing for RG3 who loves to just bomb it in the air on the run), then grabbed a quarterback in Kaep for a great price (10), and finally filled the rest of his roster with a balanced... old man approach of spending wisely. TY Hilton, Reggie Wayne, Mike Wallace, Run DMC, and Stevie Johnson were all obtained for 10 dollars or less.

Now, I hate Antonio Gates, but take the TE slot out and you have an AMAZING core (AD and Marshawn) surrounded by capable teammates.

I actually like this team. RBs? check. WRs- big play candidates (DeSean, Mike Wallace) + possession guys.

I wanna say... contender assuming AD and Marshawn act like AD and Marshawn. If so, then any game where Kaep drops 20 points (7x last year) creates a very strong score IMO.

My Value Pick - Kaep

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lacy Stacy
Career record: 23-19 (.548)
Best finish: Champion (2013)

Danny has either finished 9-5 or 5-9.
His championship year, he got hot at the right moment with solid free agent additions to propel him to win it all after securing a wild card playoff slot.
So what does his draft say?
There is balance here.
There is evidence of research.
There is favoritism here.
A lot of factors play into this draft.

Roddy White and Julio Jones. Danny likes having a strong WR corp.
It doesn't take a genius to see that the Falcon can only succeed when these guys are healthy.
They are.
He took them for 64 bucks combined.
Last year he spent 53 dollars on an elite WR in AJ Green. This year that guy is Demaryius Thomas for 57 dollars.
Keenan Allen was one of those great pick ups last season and.... he went ahead and grabbed him too.

Now... I love all those picks... but they're all on WRs!!!
QB... Romo. Ugh. Worst. 6 dollars? okay fine.... but value doesn't equal points.
RBs!... Committee Joique, Andre Ellington........... MJD.

Team seems to be one of those that might flex a WR. Given the quality of his WRs, it would be a good thing in this case.

HOWEVER. I base my love of RBs based on the consistency of the elite ones to always drop a solid number. Even the elite WRs can be extremely fickle week to week.
Add a QB that I personally think is a career 14 point dude... and man those WRs better destroy it every week.

My gut feeling says he flips some of his many WRs for a QB and/or RB2... thus balancing his point production across his roster.
So I have no opinion yet.
This team as is... mid tier to wild card contender.

My Value Pick - MJD

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I MISS JC SO MUCH
Career record: 22-20 (.524)
Best finish: Second in Leaders (2013- 4th in final standing)

We're all korean.
Have you heard those stories of those "gambling fiend ahjuhsshis" who went to Las Vegas and dropped all their money at the casino and needs their wife to send money for him to fly back home?
Paul Min, in glorious Paul Min style, spent 197 dollars and 2 receivers, 1 TE, and Toby Gerhart.... got drunk... then got mad while waiting for the draft to throw him a bone and threw a tantrum and left.
Unfortunately he's not married, nor would it have been possible for said wife to have given him more money to use.

I love Calvin. I love Brandon Marshall. I think Jimmy Graham is amazing... although he's "just" a TE. Good core. Who are his running backs?

TOBY MUTHAFUCKING GERHART BABY.
CHRIS ELEPHANTE IVORY.
...
womp womp womp.

I'd get drunk too.
Maybe... get too drunk....
and ask.... random hot ladies at a bar....
to look at my gochu.....
wut?
"oh I get it, cause his quarterback is Ben Roethlisrapist"

Yikes.

Paul did steal the defense I wanted... the same defense that only had 4 sub-10 performances and 5 15-plus weeks.

Gut feeling here is the same with Danny's team but with way more questions.
QB- Rapist, Future Rapist (Manziel), Fire Crotch (Dalton)
RB- w,t,f
WR- AWESOME!!
TE- AWESOME!!

The reason why I find Danny's team having a better chance at success is because his sparkling WR position is deep. Dwayne Bowe hasn't been good in 2 years, Steve Smith is on a crappy passing team... and that's it for the WRs. RBs are almost all worthless, and there's 3 QBs where... I'd honestly start Dalton. I sense a struggle.

My Value Pick - Steve Smith

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SCOOP YOU
Career record: 17-25 (.405)
Best finish: Third in Leaders (2011- 2nd in final standing)

2011 seems so far away.
9-5... solidified the Leaders division to rep 3 playoff teams where he beat his first round opponent to lose in the finals. What a comeback.
Since then... bottom-dwelling.
Super questionable drafts and weird picks were made...
Then suddenly... research? Balance?

He was late to the draft. Cobb and Jackson were autopicked? Not sure. However... he doesn't have a single 1 dollar player on his team!
Cam is a beast. Physically. He can be a force if things go right. 17 dollars? Could be a monster steal as he has shown ability to drop 25+ easy.
Cobb got hurt last year too early for him to emerge as Aaron's Guy but there is value here.
I hate any TB player cause their team is just a clusterfuck of nonsense but if you had to have one... it'd be either Muscle Hamster or VJax.
Add Jordy/Percy/Tate/Boldin and you got a buncha guys you can give a thumbs up to.

Now you know what's coming... where's the RBs?
Interestingly enough, they're there.
Risky RBs, but they're there.

CJ2K turned into CJ2YPC then last year showed glimpses of the old CJ2K. He's still all or nothing but with slower legs. Doesn't mean he can't pull them off.
Ridley.... oh Ridley. So much potential.... then you'll fumble a bunch of times and Belichek will hate you for the rest of the season. Merp.
Sproles in Philly is super interesting. I'm too curious to see how he's utilized.

My point is... this isn't the same bottom dwelling... wtf are you doing??... SCOOP YOU roster.
This year... it's interesting.
My gut wants me to put him right back in the... oh boy... bottom dweller slot, but I can't.
If he finds two RB2s and Cam is electric, we have an interesting team.
So I guess I'll say... mid-tier/contender.

My Value Pick - Golden Tate

Atlanta Lions
Career record: 10-18 (.357 - 2012 enrollee)
Best finish: Fifth in Leaders (2013- 10th in final standing)

STEVENBOT!
STEVENBOT LOVES STRONG BRUISING BLACK MEN.
Arian, Le'Veon, Spiller, Stacy, Jackson, Sankey, Pierre Thomas, DeAngelo!
I guess not all are strong and bruising.

Jokes aside. Let's look at this team.
RB1-2-flex is... monstrous.
I don't necessarily believe in Arian but whatever, Arian, LeVeon, Spiller.
Honestly, I'd put LeVeon, Spiller, Stacy if Arian doesn't show life week one.
Philip Rivers is always a candidate for a breakout year.
Emmanuel Sanders could reap the benefits of working with Peyton now and Edelman on a team with a rejuvenated Brady and Gronk could see a lot of targets. NOT BAD.
Plus, trading a RB for a receiver or TE could help this team out a lot. Maybe could flip another for a more sure-fire QB.

I can't ignore the elite RBs.
I'm kind of scared of this team.
I wanna say contender... given trades.

My Value Pick - Spiller/Jackson

Gravity with Sandra Bullock
Career record: 29-13 (.690)
Best finish: First in Leaders (2013- 2nd in final standing)

This guy is Michigan.
Winningest program in our league.
2011- 4th.
2012- 4th.
2013- 2nd.
Last year, he invented the Henry Kook strategy, codename Israel.
Yet he kind of abandonded it this year.
Not as drastic as the Paul Min cult, BUT, still different than last year.

Well balanced though. Elite QB, Elite WR in Dez, RB1(ish) in Gio Bernard.
The balance there is then accompanied by Antonio Brown (WR2 with occasional WR1 output) and a couple other solid starters. I like the Jordan Reed selection for only 4 dollars as well.
He has potential... based on the days he showed up to the stadium.

I've reach a level of understanding to not question too much of what Henry does but the balance is enough for me to crown him a contender once again.
Brees' 30 potential is 3-4 SOLID position players and a wildcard TE.

It's boring to draft balanced, cause usually you only end up with one or two superstars, but it worked last year.

My Value Pick - Fred Jackson (guy is timeless)

What Am I Doing
Career record: 15-27 (.357)
Best finish: 4th in Leaders (2012- 6th in final standing)

From winningest to... losing..e..st?..
After a past of questionable drafts (Vick #1, Gates 2nd round) and whatnot...
kinda similar to Scoop You... research???
Not bad of a draft!

Ben Tate and DeMarco Murray are feature backs.
31 and 47 dollars are good amounts to spend on feature backs.
Add a star WR in Cruz and deep threat Torrey, and that's a nice WR corp.

He's a Cutler believer, so spending only a dollar on your QB is great. We all know Cutler has always had POTENTIAL... and any year can be the year he reaches it.
It's not a bad team. It doesn't wow me given Murray's injury concern and his team's affinity to throwing themselves out of trouble.... while... creating a bigger problem in doing so (ROMO).
I don't believe in the NYG and therefore can't imagine Eli getting it to Cruz enough.
I don't believe in the resurgence of Ray Rice back to elite levels.
I believe David Wilson will retain the job in NYG.
So do I believe in this team?
Not really.
But there is value and balance here.
Therefore I have to say... mid-tier.
FYI, I say mid-tier while being overly pessimistic given the history of Walter's teams.
I can see many ways I would be surprised.

My Value Pick - Torrey Smith

Discount Double Check #PonyUp
Career record: 8-6 (2013 enrollee)
Best finish: Third in Leaders (2013- 6th in final standing)

AUTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo
QB love.
So much QB love.
Clearly he needs to trade/drop 2...
Muscle Hamster... I hate him, still do.
I would never have dropped 48 on him. I guess Einsteinotron thought it was a good idea.
Mathews... at 18 is a damn steal for a RB2.
Vernon Davis at 17!? sigh... that was upsetting. However, I never believe that holdout divas do well.
I live Garcon more than I like Andre Johnson.

All said and done I still think... not bad?
Maybe he can flip a QB for a nice RB1 or great RB2?
Probably needs more focus on WRs but... servicable RBs with elite Rodgers is a combination that Jeffrey Kim circa 2011 could attest to.

Potential contender pending trades.
As is... mid-tier/bottom
All on Rodgers and the "hope" that Martin and Mathews are worth the price paid.

My Value Pick - Vernon Davis

12 Dollar ROY
Career record: 24-18 (.571)
Best finish: Champion (2012)

Sigh.
Went in with a strategy and bailed.
Adopter of the Henry Kook strategy, but failed miserably.
I came in knowing I was rolling with Foles as my QB. Assuming Foles will be nominated late and being an under projected value buy. Then Andrew Luck rolled out at about 10 dollars and I flinched.
Even before that Alshon Jeffery flashed before my eyes at around 29.
Even worse, Larry Fitzgerald's bid of 19 was to jack up the price for someone I didn't want.
Oops.

Reggie Bush was someone that I did want, but not for 34.
Basically, everything went wrong.
Gronk was not a part of my plan.
Gore was, but not for 26.
Trent was another price drive to get Stevenbot to lose more money....
Welker suffered a concussion so he might be a miserable fail.

I'm in trouble.
All I cared about after the main kids were done was to secure my must have guy.
Sammy Effing Watkins.
12 dollars.
Peace out.

So what does my team have?
A sleeper QB in Foles, a solid backup who might end up to be better in Luck.
Bush, Gore, Richardson screams risk.
Bush is obvious.
Gore is old and beat up and has new RBs in the fold to share the load.
Richardson had a horrendous year and is a bounce back gamble.
My WRs are alright. Alshon was a monster last year .... HALF the time.
Larry Fitz.... I have no confidence in but is a big name??
Wes might not die.
SAMMY WATKINS IS THE TRUTH AND WILL DESTROY YOU.
GRONK is GRONK.

Mid tier.

Value Pick - SAMMY WATKINS CAUSE HE IS WORTH 100.

============================================================

That was a huge waste of time.

Congrats all.

No preview.
Here's my predictions based off nothing.

Joon way over 12 Dollar Roy
Lacy Stacy over Calvin's Johnson
Excrement Ice Cream over rebuilding year
SCOOP YOU over i miss JC So much
Atlanta Lions barely over Discount Double...s,afjlsdfja
Gravity with Sandra Bullock barely over What Am i doing

cheers.
