WEEK 10

WEEK 10

Alright let's go.

Let's go by rank.
I'm writing this before MNF so I might have the seeds screwed up but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

============================================================

As Joon fell this week, he allows Calvin's Johnson to take over the Division lead. With that, the #1 seeding is a tiebreak between 36 Dollar Man and Calvin's Johnson.

Now they haven't had their head to head yet (this week), so it will go to PF... which is still up in the air as Calvin's Johnson has a lead by a HAIR with Charles Clay going as 36 Dollar Man has Vincent Jackson.

I'll just write this as is.
P.S. Only going up to the 4-win teams as 3 wins or less is pretty much eliminated.

1. Calvin's Johnson

Do I enjoy this person? No.
I've grown to hate him.
He rocks a 2 man core that is ridiculous.
Peyton is the #1 QB with the #2 QB producing 30 points less (Brees) while Calvin Johnson holds onto the #1 spot by about 4 points as of last week (remember, he skipped a game).
Now given I miss JC so much's 137.5 production this week, Calvin's Johnson falls into 3rd place (With the potential for 36 Dollar Man to overtake).

Let me reiterate how ridiculous these two players are. Of the 889.5 points so far... 243.3 comes from Peyton and 142.4 from Calvin. Then 3rd. Is king of Running Backs, DeAngelo Williams (sarcasm) with his amazing 2 TDs.

Big question mark for him is the fact that Peyton is getting roughed up lately and is listed questionable (although I can't imagine him missing the game). He has a firm grip on the league right now and his playoff aspirations are not in jeopardy.

Real Sports GM comparison: Sam Presti OKC Thunder. Traded away his Harden (Julius - 5th in points scored for him although he hasn't been on this team for a while now).

------------------------------------------------------------

2. 36 Dollar Man

Deep deep deep.
People can be quick to complain and point out that 36 Dollar Man has a RIDICULOUS PA (801 as of last week and Joon didn't do anything this week), but his PF justifies his rank.
The Leaders division is terrible (again) and this team is the annual diamond in the rough. Just go and click on his team page and check out the PRK.
3. 2. 3. 5. 5. 5. 6.... althought I included the kicker and 49er D. That's som balance right there. Who's the remaining 2? VJax and TY Hilton (15 and 14 respectively).

Credit his balance during the draft and his trade with Joon for Marshawn Lynch. Let's review that trade.
36 Sends:
DeMarco
CJ2YPC
Stevie Johnson
Willis McGahee

for

Marshawn
Amendola
Daryl Rich.

Yeah, I don't care what Joon says, Henry won that trade. DeMarco had 5 points in 3 weeks thanks to injury and crap and although CJ2ypc had decent games, that's not enough to pull even.

Real Sports GM comparison: 2010 Pat Riley. Spending less than their value money to put together a superstar team. Marshawn James, Forte Wade, Tony Bosh.

------------------------------------------------------------

3. Joon's Football Squad

Record Tie with Ansah but has the Tiebreaker after beating him this year. It was their only matchup. After pulling off 6 straight wins during week 2 and 7, he's dropped 2 of the last 3 matchups. Aaron Rodgers is hurt and this is a scary moment for Joon here. His schedule is pretty weak so he may be fine but two 5 win teams and a 4 win team is not a cupcake matchup.

So what's going on?
If ARodg is out... that's a dependable 20ish points off the board as well as 1 of his only 2 top ten PRK position players (Tony Gonzo #6). Most of the remaining players are in the top 20 so it's not like this team is terrible. He has 7 wins for a reason (5th PF, 9th PA).

But man this is a one man team though. Aaron Rodgers is 20% of his point production. He'll need to find a QB who can alleviate the departure of Aaron and have his RBs and WRs step it up. This team has yet to see the bye week pain though. No DeMarco next week, and no Marvin (assuming Stevie's spot this week belongs to Josh Gordon on bye) the next week.

The 2 RBs mentioned have some tough matchups the next 3 weeks. Hold your breath. Brace yourself.

Real Sports GM comparison: Little harsh but 2007 Kevin McHale. Sent KG (Marshawn) for a bunch of decent pieces Al Jefferson (Murray), Telfair (LOL CJ2YPC hahahaha). Ignore the success (or lack of) the team being compared to. The fact is Marshawn is only 40 something short of CJ and DeMarco combined... except he only takes up one slot.

------------------------------------------------------------

4. Ansahppable Cabrera

This team has snuck up on everyone.
Insanely balance too. Key players.
Keenan Allen/Zac Stacy/Chiefs D/Matthew Stafford
All of these guys were either trades of pickups.

The big 3 team trade was pretty solid for him.
He dumped Daryl (useless), RG3 (underwhelming), Antonio Brown, and Josh Gordon and got back Matthew Stafford and Larry Fitz. When looking back on it, it's still hard to tell if it was a good idea... until you realize who his WRs are.

Would you rather have RG3/AJ/BMarsh/Josh/and Antonio or his current QB/WR/Flex setup?

Let's see...

Fitz/Keenan = 146.1
Gordon/Brown = 174.4
-28.3

and

Stafford = 167.2
RG3 = 124.5
+42.7

+14.4... Meh?

Not as solid as I thought. Regardless of all that, It's the free agent pickups in Keenan/Stacy/ChiefsD that makes it for this team.

Real Sports GM comparison: Scott Pioli (2001-2008 NE and current KC GM). Why? Superstars are no brainer's. But what were the old Patriots known for? Sure it may be credited to Brady's genius, but they were known for being able to plug in some random schmuck WR and win. Look at this years KC team. Doesn't make sense but he always manages teams with surprise heroes. This is kind of... too high of praise as Pioli is one of the greatest of all time. Regardless of Belichick or not.

------------------------------------------------------------

Now among the 5 win teams, everyone is 1-1 against each other, which means it defaults to PF.

5. I miss JC So much

Wow.
He hath returned to the top.
Honestly... this team is the one I fear the most.
He definitely controls his own destiny and has a hard schedule. He plays Ansah next week and same record SPFCCSMF the week after. He also has Calvin's Johnson on the remaining schedule so it's a long, hard (twss) road for him to make the playoffs. But if you had to do it you'd want some people like AD, Gio, Demaryius on your team.

He leads the league in PF for a reason.
Scary team. 16% of this team's production so far is credited to AD.
Now, Gio was a trade acquisition so hard to judged him thus far but he's doing damn well.
I don't like the trade though. But hindsight is 20/20.
Having a team with AD/Jamaal/Cruz/Alshon is scarier than AD/Gio/Demaryius/Cruz to me. BUT. It's all about ceilings.
Gio still shares the ball, Jamaal doesn't. Alshon is one of 2 top options for the Bears, Demaryius is one of... what? 6? Of course week's like last week will happen where he grabs 3. But week's where he's got 0 TDs happened 4 times.

Regardless... This team should scare you.
Ansah, SPFCCSMF, JFS, Calvin's Johnson... watch out.

Real Sports GM comparison: 2004-5 Mitch Kupchak. Big names off the bat. Then traded Shaq for Lamar Odom and others. Kobe is still on the team but Kobe and Shaq just looks like it'd be better.

------------------------------------------------------------

LULZ I squeak by Thobias Funke with +0.1 PF over Thobias. hahahaha unless Stat Corrections kick in

6. SHITPISSFUCKCUNTCOCKSUCKERMOFO

QB...
Oh Matt Ryan.
Oh Julio... why hath you forsaken Matty Ice.
QB issues completely kill this team. That and inconsistency. This team has such a solid core in Gore/McCoy/Wes/Julius. How is a team with these names go 5-5?
Inconsistency.

Chip Kelly. I don't understand the guy. He starts off the season rushing Shady 30 times (24.9 fantasy points). He then gives him 11.

T= Twenty or more D= double digits S= single. This is Shady:
TDTSDDSSDD

What is this? Why is this? Chip Kelly and stupid douchebag QBs. At least Foles now looks like he's got a good grip on the role now. YAY FOLES.

Who's the other assclown? Joe Flacco. THROW THE DAMN BALL TO YOUR BEST RECEIVER. Three double digit games. Absurd.

All I know is, this team has awesome matchups. Including Matt Ryan and Case Keenum
Matt (TB, Buf, GB, WSH,)
Keenum (Oak, Jac, Jac again)

Controls own destiny. Man up.

Real Sports GM comparison: John Schuerholz (ATL Braves) Knew when to part with players like Maddux (Murray) and Glavine (run DMC) and maintained a consistent product. Was there for the emergence of then-young talent from the farm system Chipper Jones (Kenny Stills). Also traded for Sheffield (Julius Thomas) and Fred McGriff (Torrey Smith).

------------------------------------------------------------

7. Thobias Funke

Another good core team.
Brees/Charles/Alshon/Vernon.
Now... Vernon got concussed. Notice how I didn't include #37 Ray Rice. That was a trade for another useless player in Colston though.

This team has two top flight TEs though, which at first... I was confused about why he didn't move one. If Vernon is out then, good thing he held on.

Tenth in PA but not much to capitalize on it. Some of his wins are fantastic, scoring 132 and 125. But losses where he scored 56/74/73.2... gross.

All of those losses have one thing in common.
Brees is the only one that shows up.

OH MY GOD. I just checked the numbers.
Brees accounts for 26% of the offensive production.
Vernon is 2nd with 8.4%

I guess that tells the whole story.
Charles will help. He is the #1 RB after all... but I guess that's just how bad everyone else has been.
Days they click, this team drops 100+ but consistency is key.

Looking at his transactions... there's been a constant search for the right combo.

Real Sports GM comparison: Dave Dombrowski. Head scratcher on this one. But let's look at it as... a team that has a defined superstar or two, Brees/Charles, but clearly the team as a whole just can't click together. Alshon is Torii-esque as he plays out of his mind sometimes. We all know who Prince Fielder is here. RAY. RICE. Dombrowski is what I like to call a "end of the road" GM. He likes to bring in names at the end of their prime/career (Sheffield/Magglio/Victor/Kenny Rogers). Ray Rice isn't at the end of his career, but it's the "what did you do before" instead of "what have you done lately". Sure Colston is no better but... Ray, when traded for clearly had done nothing.

------------------------------------------------------------

8. Atlanta Lions

What can I say... this team hasn't touched 100 except for twice. Week 2 and week 4.
Injuries... consistency.
Just look at the stars.
Look how ridiculous Dez's numbers are.
Man he was shut down yesterday by the Saints. Worst part of it is... Rob Ryan doubled him all game and he was completely rocked. Barely got one catch yesterday. If I'm a DCoord in the NFL I do the same thing. I'm assuming that's what the DCoords will do.

But anyways, look at Dez, look at Morris. It's a rollercoaster. Then notice the injuries this team had. Especially SJax. He was supposed to be the missing piece to an Atlanta team that was so close. Yet 13 ATL looks like 12 DET. Coming off a great hopefule season with high hopes only to suck balls.

It's just lost opportunities everywhere. Season isn't over... technically. Running the table + some favors need to happen for a playoff birth. But given that I look at this team and see... RB1/Flex + WR1/WR3/WR3-flex... it'll be hard to find production. He did say everyone is on the block so we'll see if anything happens within the week.

There's just a lack of production from the RB2 slot as well as the 2nd and 3rd WR slot.

Real Sports GM comparison: 2012 Sam Hinkie (76ers). 2012 saw newly acquired Andrew Bynum sit all year then when his contract was up... he bolted. Steven Jackson is Andrew Bynum. Teased in week one with some good looks before getting injured in week 2. Remained out for 5 weeks in a row then looks completely crappy. Can't really do much when things just don't pan out. If Sjax was good to go, that would have surely made the RB situation with being inconsisent go away.

------------------------------------------------------------

9. Team Excrement

Another team riddled with injuries. Also underperformances.
But Arian is done. CJ Spiller can't stay healthy. What is wrong with Brady? No idea. Either way this team is just bad. Only 1 legitimate top ten player in DeSean Jackson, who's been a pleasant surprise. Anquan had a great start then completely fizzled. Hakeem has become fantasy irrelevant.

But it comes down to Brady. With Gronk back he looks a lot better and pretty much destroyed everything last time he was able to play with 30+ points. But at the end of the day, there's nothing you can really do when things just don't work out. Arian and CJ are fantastic backs when healthy. Excrement just happened to hit the double injury bug.

Can't say anything else.
The names are there... The results aren't.

Real Sports GM comparison: ... whoever the GM of the Buffalo Bills is. They see Fred and CJ go down every year. Well this is a new year and CJ/Arian is the worst possible thing to happen.
hurts.

============================================================

Fantasy Relevant Matchups for Week 11.

Calvin's Johnson and 36 Dollar Man.
Battle for #1 Seed.
Unfortunately it might be a slap fight, and Calvin's Johnson continues his lucky streak as Henry has Romo and Witten on BYE.
I think he picked up Locker for the spot but Locker is out.
So he'll have to find someone else and a TE somehow.

Lucky for Henry, Peyton is hobbled and even if he wasn't he's up against the BEST D... Chiefs.

I say if Marshawn = Calvin, then 36 Dollar Man wins.

DOWN WITH KEVIN.

Ansahppable and I miss JC

Ansah can be in biggg trouble if he loses to JC here. He gets current #2 36 Dollar in the last week of regular season. 2-2 in the final two games is unacceptable.
Zac Stacy is on bye while JC doesn't have anything significant missing. There are some pretty awful matchups for Ansah while I think JC has a better one except for AD @ Seattle.

This will be a fun one, and as a 5 win team, I should be rooting for I miss JC.

Joon's Football Squad with all its injuries will face Atlanta Lions and will have to turn it around. 3 losses in 4 games would be a collapse.
There's no recovering mentally and emotionally from blowing that type of lead.

No ARodg is a problem.

Finally, SCOOP v SPFCCSMF.
SCOOP scares me. So many thursday games... and so on...

SCOOP wins by 60.

Anyways I'm sleepy.
Goodnight.

I may edit for more things later in the week.

APOW: I miss JC So much (3)
